best durability for price anywhere

best durability for price hands down, but just because it is stripped of all the other features it could have that it doesnt. the platinum pro is way better than the normal 98 just because of the drop, the double trig, and the rail. the rail design is different than the 98. it is still a dovetail shape, but it just screws in from the top, not the sides. this is nice, but then you have holes that dirt can get in when you have the rail off, which is a problem....
The drop is 5" x 2.5" and tilts the tank down about 2 degrees. this makes for nice handleing and balence, but for you taller players it will b harder to shoulder the tank. i am 5'11" and have no trouble staying tight with this drop. if you are a smaller player this drop is perfect for you. Another nice thing with the drop is you can take the drop off and just re-attach the ASA to the handle, just like the original 98, good for if you want more of a rifle feel to the shouldering. if you have a stock or remote line, this drop will b great for you.
you probably dont want an egrip with this gun, just because the gun whs not ment to be an electrical gun. to turn the board on you have to use an allan key and poke the butten through a hole on the front of the grip!!! bad for fast turn ons/offs.
the 10" stock barrel is a piece of crap. plan on buying a better barrel, which could cost you anywhere between 30 and 100 bucks.
price is unbeatable for the amount of durability this gun offers. if durability is not your biggest concern, go for a gun that offers more/better features, like a clamping feedneck, centered and stable, a regulator, a better barrel, etc.
with all the things that this gun doesnt have that you will want to buy for it to get its performance up there with the more expensive guns, you have to be careful, because you might end up spending more than you might have payed for a better gun with similer charecteristics of the 98 pro, like theTippmann A5 or the Tippmann X7 Phenom.
i rate this product 4 stars for woodsballers who care more about durability and low maintenance,
but only a 3 for speedballers who need to stay tight and want to shoot with both hands with an egrip.

Pros:
-durability is the best out there
-upgradeablity is also huge, you can make it look or perform exactly how you want it too with the thousands of ugrades you can get for it. i personaly reccomend a cyclone feed for woodsballers, or a halo B or empire magna for speedballers
-customizing is great because of the huge market for upgrades for this gun
-better than tippmann 98Cons:
-sacrifices alot for durability. the effeciency, the weight, the consistency, etc
-you will have to pay alot more $$$ to get this gun looking/performing how you want it to.
-the quick thread barrel is nice, but the unique thread sizes do not work will any other barrel thread types, including autococker, which is about 80% of the after market barrels. it might be hard finding the barrel you want.
-no regulatorI would recommend this item to a friend.
