Planet Eclipse has long been established as the high end, high performance paintball gun manufacturer. That's why when they come out with an $1800 flag ship gun, there is usually a wait for the gun. At $1800 or even $1200 its easy to put the best materials in it and not skimp. Who can afford that much for 1 gun though!? This is where the ETHA comes in. Eclipse wanted to put performance and reliability into more players hands. They wanted to develop a paintball gun that didn't break the bank, performed, was ultra reliable, and that wasn't made with cheap parts. They set out to make the best by simplifying the design and not cutting corners. They did just that with the ETHA. They even test each gun before it gets packed and shipped. Each gun has a report card and test results attached to its serial #. No other manufacturer does this! What's New? Lets start with the bolt. The bolt has a 2 stage acceleration process. When the bolt start to move and pick up the paintball its at a slower gentler speed, then it accelerates as it positions the ball in the barrel. The bolt is also faced with a removable/replaceable rubber face to cushion the paintballs and prevent clipping of the paintball next in line to go into the breach. To save weight, just like on the ETEK3 LT, the frame, the clamp feed, eye covers and OOPS (On/Off Purge System) are made from very durable composite material (glass reinforced nylon) which is also corrosion resistant. The Etha also shares parts from the EGO too. The Etha has a very similar trigger system to that of the EGO11. It also uses the same SL3 inline regulator as the CSL, EGO11 and the Geo2! This allows you to use any compressed air tank, high or low pressure with your ETHA. The Etha comes stock with a 14.5 inch .693 bore Shaft 4 compatible barrel system. Like all of the other Eclipse guns, the ETHA is Autococker "Cocker" threaded so it can accept a slue of aftermarket barrels. The .693 bore also ensures the barrel with work with 95% of all paintballs currently out there. Of course since Eclipse spares no expensive, the gun comes with a hard case that is lined with a custom fit shock absorbing foam liner, a full color manual, tools, lube, barrel sock, a regulator and a gun spare parts kit.
