Pre-Order. Empire is in the process of making more of these cool pumps. We will not have more in until 2/15/12. Any orders placed after 2/15/12 will ship right out1 The Tracer is BACK! For those of you who don't know, the Tracer Pump Marker (originally sold by Pursuit Marketing Inc aka P.M.I who later merged with National Paintball Supply, now KEE Action Sports) has been around since the early 1990's! It died out when more affordable semi automatics came out. The Pump/Stock class game as a whole was all but extinct for a while. Until, players started realizing that having paintball guns that shoot 30bps kinda took some skill and fun out of the game. Since then, for the past few years, there has been a reemergence of people wanting to get back into the woods and play pump aka Stock Class games. This style of play is paintball at its purest. Its just you, a pump action gun and your opponent. No batteries, no motorized hoppers, no firing modes. Its exhilarating. Now the Tracer has been re-released with some cool upgrades. First off the Tracer is branded under the Empire name, and they added an extra R to its name TRRacer. The internals are compatible with the original PMI Tracer so my brother will be happy he can get o-rings for his 15+ Year old gun again. Instead of the old Tracer Barrel threads, the Trracer now has Autococker threads, which as you know, every barrel made currently has an Autococker thread option. The Trracer still has an "Auto-Trigger". For those of you who don't know, an auto-trigger simplifies the firing process when you want to shoot fast. Instead of Pumping to load the gun, and pressing the trigger to shoot, the auto trigger allows you to simply hold down the trigger and the gun will fire once after each "pump cycle". So it takes the thinking out of it when you need to shoot fast. In terms of safety and ball breakage, I have never broken a ball in a Tracer. I would expect the same with the Trracer. The fact is when you are shooting a pump gun or a mechinacal semi-automatic paintball gun you won't break a ball. Its only when you start to introduce electro-pneumatics internals and very high rates of fire where you start to have bolt/ball drop chopping issues. The Trraccer also has a anti-double feed mechanism which prevents you from loading more than 1 ball into the breach at a time. Empire also upgraded the barrel to a very accurate, very quite rifled (ported) barrel. You will find that this gun shoots very smooth, and is very accurate. The last cool feature Empire added are Picatinny rails so you can easily mount scopes, laser sites, red dot sites or other rail mounted accessories.
