OK so I got these pants in the mail and I was like ooo these stink. But then I actually used them and they are ridiculous! It doesn't look like they have too much padding but they are so baggy you still don't feel anything. At one point I was running and one hit me in the side of the calf and not only did I barely feel it, it didn't brake! I got no welt at all. These pants are also super light weight so running wont be difficult. I hope this helped.
